In the Name of God, the Subtle, the Loving
Today, Americans all across the country are getting together with family and friends and celebrating the feast of Thanksgiving, eating turkey and other foods and desserts, as is the custom in the United States.
Although we should and must be thankful to God every single moment of our lives, it is still important to thank God for all the blessings He has given us throughout our lives. Our country is hurting very much now: hundreds of thousands have lost their jobs, lost their healthcare, lost their homes, and have tremendous uncertainty about their financial future.
I send my prayers of strength and protection to them. I ask the Lord to send down his Grace and Mercy upon them.
On this day, I am thankful to God for all the blessings of my life, all the mercy He has shown me, and for my country. I am so blessed and thankful to be a citizen of this wonderful nation.
On this day, also, my thoughts and concern go out to the victims of the horrific terrorist attacks in Mumbai. The sights and sounds coming out of Mumbai have been absolutely wrenching, and I ask and pray that the gunmen are caught, the hostages released, and peace return to Mumbai.

By Their Fruits Will Ye Know Them
In the Name of God, the Subtle, the Loving
On November 18, Ayman Al Zawahiri, the vile terrorist leader who released a new video reacting to the election of Barack Obama to the Presidency. In this statement, he shows himself to be the evil person that he truly is.
He calls the President-elect a "house slave," using the term that Malcolm X, before he changed his views and turned to orthodox Islam, used to describe his contemporary Black leaders. What an unbelievable slur. Zawahiri claims that America heart is "full of hate." Nothing could be farther from the truth, and by his slur, he shows the world that it is his heart that is full of hate.
The election of Obama, in fact, shows to the world the truth about America's heart and essence: that it is full of good, love, and beauty. Despite its deep history of racism and racial injustice, despite the fear of Muslims after 9/11, despite the relentless smear machine hurled at Obama, the country rejected this and elected its first African American president, with an Arabic middle name at that.
Zawahiri talks about the "lions of Islam," the "Mujahideen," who are allegedly fighting the good fight on behalf of the Muslim Ummah. These "lions of Islam" are nothing but satanic, blood-thirsty killers. These "lions of Islam" strap bombs around their waists and blow themselves up in mosques, marketplaces, wedding halls, hotels, and other places to wreak massive havoc and murder. These "lions of Islam" will detonate a car bomb, and then blow themselves up to kill the Good Samaritans who rush to help the victims.
These "lions of Islam" viciously behead their victims, and they proudly display their barbarism on sharply produced videos for the world to see, under the holy words of the Shahadah. These "lions of Islam" will kill anyone they deem to be "un-Islamic," no matter how old or how innocent. These "lions of Islam" are not heroes, they are not martyrs, and they are the enemies of Islam, Muslims, and the entire world.
These "lions of Islam" insult the Precious Lord and defile the Prophet (pbuh) and everything for which he lived, struggled, and died.
You know, it is funny: whenever these terrorist leaders make these videos for the Ummah to see, they are dressed in long robes, turbans with the "tail" at the back, and long beards with the moustache cut short. They do so, because they are "following the Sunnah" of the Holy Prophet (pbuh).
What a joke. You may wear a turban like the Prophet (pbuh), Mr. Zawahiri (you lost the honor of being called "doctor" a long time ago), you may have a long beard like the Prophet (pbuh), you may speak Arabic like the Prophet (pbuh), but you are nothing like the Prophet (pbuh).
You, Mr. Zawahiri, are a vile, cold-blooded murderer with the blood of thousands of innocent poeple on your hands. You, Mr. Zawahiri, are an insult to the Ummah, not its savior. You, Mr. Zawahiri, are a neo-Kharijite who must be fought to the very end.
There is much injustice in the world today, and Muslims are frequent victims of that injustice. The blame goes far and wide. But, the answer to that injustice is not these mutants who claim to be Muslims.
No way, now how, no Al Qaeda.

God Bless America
In the Name of God, the Subtle, the Loving, the Merciful, the Gracious, the Beautiful
I could not believe it. I had to make sure I was not dreaming. I had to make sure that it was not a mistake.
But, it was not. By the grace of the Beautiful, Merciful, All-Powerful God, Senator Barack Obama - my senator, my representative, my advocate - has been elected the 44th President of the United States of America.
His win was decisive: over 330 electoral votes will go to the Senator from Illinois. The country has spoken, including this physician, author, and blogger, and it has said to the nation and the world: "We want change."
How beautiful is America, that it has elected an African American man, with all of its history of slavery, bigotry, and discrimination, to the highest office of the land. How beautiful is America that it elected a man with a strange first name, an Arabic middle name, and an equally strange last name. How beautiful is America, that it has overwhelmingly rejected the politics of hate, fear, and division.
How beautiful is America. How wonderful is America. How blessed is America. God has truly blessed America.
I could not be there in Grant Park in Chicago to actually witness history. But, I am still here in Chicago, witnessing history, and what an amazing thing to witness. Whenever I think of what has transpired here, I think of the thousands of people - brave, proud Americans - who struggled, strove, sacrificed, and even died to give me the right to vote, to ask America to be true to her words that "all men are created equal," to pave the way for the election, one day, of an African American man to be the President of the United States.
I still can't believe that my senator is the President elect of our country. But, thanks be to Almighty God, it is true. Now, he is no longer my senator: he is my brother in humanity; he is my captain; he is my President.
Congratulations, Mr. President: President Barack Obama.
I will never tire of those three words: President Barack Obama. And when I think of those words, three other words come to mind:
God Bless America.
